What really can be said that hasn’t been said before about a Common Kings show? They come out and kill it every time with a high energy performance that gives their fans exactly what they’re looking for.
So that’s what they did for a sold out crowd, presented by Da 808 Music, at the Showbox Market in Seattle.
Diversity was the name of the game as the Kings rolled with more rock heavy lineup than they have in the past. Opening the evening, local reggae rock powerhouse Valley Green left it all on the stage. Setting the bar high for the night, they got the thousand plus people already inside moving to their own funky blend of reggae rock music.
Providing direct support for the whole tour has been Ballyhoo. Coming out of Maryland, Ballyhoo’s rock, pop, reggae party time sound was perfect bridge between Valley Green’s heavier and Common Kings more pop laden sounds.
Driving it all home, Common Kings has a feel good sound that’s heavy in relatable reggae rhythms with a pop feel that crosses many boundaries.
